Preakness Valley United Reformed Church
"The church in the valley..."

We dedicate our lives to the glory of our faithful, covenant Father in heaven, for "God demonstrated His love toward us, in that while we were yet lost in our sin, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8). Redeemed through the blood of Jesus Christ, saved by faith, we are now united in one Spirit as members of the body of Christ. In thanksgiving we seek to glorify the Lord our God as we regularly gather to publicly worship Him, as we in love build one another up in our Christian faith and walk, and as we testify to the world of the good news of the Gospel. It is our desire to live godly lives with contentment, filled with the Holy Spirit, holding fast to the whole counsel of God, His infallible Word. We believe the entire Bible as it has been given to us and preserved for us by God. We embrace the historic Reformed confessions, known as "The Three Forms of Unity," as faithfully summarizing the Word of God. These are, namely, the Belgic Confession, the Heidelberg Catechism, and the Canons of Dort.

We are a church that exists to unite God and people.  Our task and desire is to call individuals to a saving and growing relationship with Christ.  This is encouraged by:

* Worshipping in regular and joyful celebration,

* Sharing God's love with all in need,

* Educating in His ways,

* And nurturing one another in fellowship.
